Reading:
Michel Foucault, “Of Other Spaces: Utopias and Heterotopias”, Architecture /Mouvement/ Continuité, October, 1984; (“Des Espace Autres,” March 1967 Translated from the French by Jay Miskowiec)
In Foucaults text he brings up the term "heterotopia" which is a place he describes as own world inside our world. THis very abstract concept can be better understood by using the mirror as an example. The Mirror world is a reflection of our self, our surrounding and is initself a diffrent world. This theory of reflection of our society and social constructs can have diffrent forms. The theater is a timeless example which recreate stories in their own world that often reflect on reality in discursive space.

For this session we had to make a diffrent form of presentation of our observations of a particiular space. I chose to write a poem since I enjoy the playful lyrical approach.
My Poem is from the view of a toilet cabined that is one of three and nearest to the door.
Dear friend in a rush
Day’s can be hectic and are often a mess.
What people enjoy at the place where I am at
Is the relief and a break from the daily stress.
I’m not alone in the line
We are in the number of three, you can join us for free
But only one at the time.
I see many people a day and can guarantee
With some I have a connection, with only a few exception
I know, because they always choose me
The One thing special about you
Is the time that you come by and kindly say Hi!
It is always around half past 2.
Join me when you don’t feel well
after we spend time together, I can feel you’re better
But you would never tell
I always try wait for you to arrive
But when someone rushes in, doing a little spin
Then sadly I hear you on the other side
I spark your imagination, countless ideas!
Even this poem came from sitting in here.
you’re a king on a throne
For me youll always be on top, never to stop!
Only here at the place we call our own
So dear firend when your in a rush
I want you to remember after our number
Don’t forget you have to flush!
